(NYSE: KIM), North America’s largest publicly traded owner and operator of open-air shopping centers, is currently seeking a Marketing Manager responsible for marketing, branding, events, social and digital media, and community partnerships for our Suburban Square Signature Series asset. Reporting to the Director of Lifestyle Marketing, with a dotted line to Suburban Square General Manager, the Marketing Manager for Suburban Square will ensure that the center’s iconic brand is preserved and expressed in new and engaging ways that will delight shoppers and community members, and drive traffic to its tenants. 

 

The primary responsibility of the Marketing Manager will be to maximize the traffic and sales potential, promote awareness, and contribute to increasing the value of the center, while maintaining the strategic perspective of the entire property, the broader marketing department, and Kimco’s business goals. This includes, but is not limited to: the day-to-day management of executing the annual marketing plan and communicating progress and results in meetings; working closely with the center tenants, cross-functional teams, external partners and agencies, and community leaders to create awareness of center, drive sales and support new and existing tenants; managing the monthly entertainment, community and event calendars; overseeing all social and digital efforts to ensure content is aligned with the overall marketing and brand strategy; providing ongoing metrics of all marketing initiatives and providing recommendations, and representing the center in media, corporate, tenant, community and external partner events; managing budget invoicing, internal and external event communications and permitting, etc.; and serving as the point of contact and liaison of the brand with customers, tenants, and partners.

 

The right person will have the ability to multitask with strong problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills. Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills will be necessary to be successful in this role, as will having/forming lasting relationships with local community groups and leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Advertising, or Public Relations
  • Prior commercial real estate marketing experience, including event management
  • Fashion Merchandising and/or Retail Management experience is a plus
  • Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends, especially during holiday seasons
  • High aptitude for budget management
  • Solid negotiation and sales skills
  • Experienced in digital marketing with knowledge of current trends and best practices
