Manager of ESG Programs

Description: At Kimco Realty, ESG is integral to our stakeholder-driven approach to business. Reporting to the Senior Director, ESG, the Manager, ESG Programs will be responsible for managing ESG programs at Kimco, including our KIMunity (employee) Councils and other key initiatives to help Kimco achieve our ESG goals. Kimco operates nationally, and we are flexible on location for this role.

The Manager, ESG Programs will focus their time throughout the year as outlined below:

• Strategic Initiatives and Projects: 50%
• Stakeholder Engagement: 50%

Specific Duties of the Position:

• Lead key initiatives, which may be related to stakeholder engagement, carbon and climate strategies, DEI, community impact, and other relevant ESG topics
• Manage the discussions, workshops, and delegate initiatives for our employee focused KIMunity Councils
• Guide the development of Council Strategic Plans and maintain a regular cadence of meetings and accountability
• Partner with key internal teams (HR, Marketing, Property Management, Development, etc.) to achieve objectives
• Establish and maintain an ESG goal tracking function (e.g. GHG, Giving, etc.)
• Prepare for, and participate in engagement with various stakeholders (examples: Board of Directors, Tenants, Investors, etc.)
• Stay up-to-date on ESG best practices and trends, and raise ideas to continue to drive program strategy
• Conduct ESG research across industry best practices
• Lead key initiatives, which may be related to stakeholder engagement, carbon and climate strategies, DEI, community impact, and other relevant ESG topics

• Strong verbal and communication skills are necessary for frequent interactions with Kimco employees at all levels and regions
• Must be able to manage multiple projects at once in various stages
• Past experience or education in the ESG/Sustainability/Corporate Responsibility space is preferred
• Occasional travel may be required
