Asset Management Assistant

******Unless specifically contracted, resumes from recruiting agencies are not being accepted for this position.****** We are currently seeking an Asset Management Assistant with responsibilities to include:

Kimco, one of North America’s largest publicly traded owner / operators of open-air, grocery-anchored shopping centers and mixed-used assets, is currently seeking an Asset Management Assistant to join our team.  The qualified candidate must be well organized with excellent follow-up and oral and written communication skills and be able to work independently. Familiarity with commercial retail lease agreements and/or paralegal experience a plus.  This is an entry level asset management position reporting to the regional Director of Asset Management.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Working with existing tenant requests for easements, lien waivers, rent relief requests, assignment and lease terminations.
• Ability to meet with tenants and understand tenants request and clearly explain requirements to applicants
• Gather the necessary documents and information to complete request
• Collates and reviews required documentation for applications ensures completeness
• Provides appropriate referrals to other departments
• Supporting Asset Management Personnel
• Developing knowledge of Salesforce including, lead capture, deal evaluation, deal input & approval and legal workflow.
• Partnering with the legal department as lease documentation is drafted and negotiated

• Bi-Lingual/fluent in Spanish
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Strong work ethic, communication and negotiation skills 
• Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office applications
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Familiarity with commercial leasing language and SalesForce a plus
